Few people in the community will remain untouched by an elderly friend or relative in care or with dementia, a stroke victim, or someone of any age dealing with enduring mental ill health or a learning disability, a prisoner or child who requires special support.

Artlink Central projects can help so much in all these areas. However, we cannot provide our valuable services without the necessary funds. In order to continue and to expand our activities, reaching out to new clients and working with new media, every two years we hold our major fundraising event: Art off the Rock.

This year, Art off the Rock takes place in the Albert Halls, Stirling, on Sunday 12th November, 6.00-9.00pm. We firmly believe that the quality of this year's work will enable us to beat the £16,000 raised in 2004.Tickets cost £15 and are available from Carol Seymour: Tel: 07050 151547 email: info@thorntreebarn.co.uk

    Anonymous Postcard Sale

This year there will be over 300 postcard-sized original artworks for sale. All the postcards are anonymous at the point of sale and cost £25. Guests have ample opportunity to browse for their favourite artist. Postcard sales begin when the bell rings.... and then its fastest finger first!

Contemporary Arts Sale and Artlink Central Calendar

This year for the first time Art off the Rock includes a sale of original contemporary artworks. This is a great opportunity to find that elusive Christmas gift or invest in a collectable item. Works for sale include a limited edition print by Ermias Ekube, kindly donated by Fair Trade Art; original drawings by Lynne Curran from the book 'Cats Behaving Badly', jewellery, watercolours, stone carvings, textiles and porcelain.

Also on sale will be the first Artlink Central calendar, which celebrates the work of our participants and is sponsored by Budget Auto Centre, Stirling; Framed Images, Stirling; Margaret Blackwood Housing Association, Bannockburn; McFarlane Gray, Stirling; printing.com@tangerine, Stirling; Tak Tent Cancer Support Scotland; The Sunlite Cafe, Cowane Centre, Stirling; The Treehouse, Bridge of Allan; and Walter Marriott, Kippen.
    On sale for just £5, it's a super stocking-filler.
