Lot 11. Graham Stewart: Whisky Beaker

Graham Stewart has been making fine silverware as well as precious jewellery from his Dunblane workshop for over 20 years. He completed an Art and Design Diploma and subsequently a post graduate scholarship at Grays School of Art, Aberdeen. Graham specialises in silver smithing. In recent years Graham has been interested in creating ‘table sculpture’ such as candlesticks and bowls inspired by seed forms. His mainstay is still, however, engraved bowls, spoons, candlesticks, and jewellery. Graham has exhibited extensively, including the Rodger Billcliff gallery, Glasgow, the Goldsmith’s fair, London, and the Scottish gallery, Edinburgh. Most recently he was commissioned by the Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh to create a sculpture which was presented at the opening of the new Scottish Parliament building on October 9th by Her Majesty the Queen.
