Lot 24. Leigh Fotheringham: Brooch in silver, gold and opal

Leigh Fotheringham has run her own successful gallery in Bridge of Allan since 1997. A graduate from Glasgow School of Art with a 1st class honours degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing, Leigh designs and makes contemporary jewellery incorporating a variety of precious metals, stones and pearls. She says of her work “my designs are often influenced by natural organic forms which are developed and simplified to produce elegant and extremely wearable pieces of jewellery”. Prior to establishing her own business, Leigh exhibited extensively across the country at the Shore Gallery, Edinburgh, the Compass Gallery, Glasgow, the Crawford Art Centre and also internationally, at the Aaron Faber Gallery, New York.
