Lot 5: Rowena Laing - 'Hello'

Having successfully completed her training at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Rowena Laing then became a Graphic Designer in London, Dundee and Glasgow as well as a partner in J and R Laing Design Associates working primarily on interior design projects. Her influences include current contemporary paintings, which are the result of time spent with her horses in the Scottish countryside, as well as the Scottish East coast where she grew up. More exotic paintings are drawn from the Caribbean and from Italy, especially Florence where Rowena lived as a student. Rowena Laing's paintings with their vibrant colours now feature in private art collections in London, New York, Denmark, Canada, USA, Australia, Germany and Spain.
