Lot 20: Jean Hendry - 'Reclining Nude'

A talented graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Jean returned to Stirling to pursue her passion for community arts, working with Artlink Central and Reachout, and continuing with her art practice. Jean became a member of the Scottish Society of Artists and exhibited far and wide - famously exhibiting at the Brewers’ Group ‘Nae Sma Beer’ exhibition in Alloa, 2002. Jean was instrumental in our first Art off the Rock auction, and the success of this event is largely due to Jean’s unfailing commitment to supporting Artlink Central. Sadly, Jean passed away on 18 February 2005, aged 49. This serene piece of work has been included in the auction so that we can remember Jean as a highly respected and talented artist in her own right.
