Camelon Arts is looking for a Lead Arts Practitioner to lead and devise the delivery of their creative programme in Venues across Camelon (in Falkirk, Central Scotland) from June 2019 – May 2021
Camelon Arts, a project funded by Big Lottery Scotland as part of the ‘Our Place’ programme and managed by Artlink Central, is recruiting a lead arts practitioner or community-based artist. You will lead and develop arts activities and help nurture Camelon residents' creative aspirations during the first and second year of a three year creative programme. You will have experience of developing and delivering arts activity within a community context. You will have the skills and aptitude to work across a range of communities to quickly establish both responsive and pro-active programmes of arts activity and development.
Your practice will be in one or more arts disciplines. You will also be knowledgeable about the range of contemporary practices, e.g. digital; that are useful and deliverable in a participatory context.
Camelon Arts will be designed to provide opportunities for people to be creative in as many ways as possible. The programme will be responsive to the community throughout.
This is a fixed term employment contract of 24 months pro-rata £23,000 p.a. + contributory pension for 21 hours/week
