veterans sculpture project
Running since March 2016. Sculptor Susheila Jamieson working directly with ex- servicemen from across Forth Valley to design, develop and fabricate permanent sculptures to be installed in Forth Valley Royal Hospital garden areas facing onto main corridor leading from mental health unit. Sculpture designs devised by ex- servicemen around path to recovery and overcoming ‘black dog’ of depression.
18 practical workshops including, stone carving, jesmonite casting and wood carving have taken place in community settings.
Creating Conversations is a trading arm and social enterprise supporting Artlink Central by through the sale of innovative products developed with participants in our programmes.
Our Activities Toolkit: Gardening themed was launched following a two year development, research and testing project with the assistance of the Gerontology Department at the Stirling University, NHS Forth Valley and other professionals specialising in dementia.

Artlink Central’s Creative Prescription is a participatory arts programme for people with a diagnosis of dementia who are still living at home in Forth Valley, offering a free, referral service of creative activities in Stirling and Falkirk running through to September 2017
