Plans are well underway for Art off the Rock 2006 - our biannual fundraising event and a rare chance for you to purchase a unique artwork and support the work of Artlink Central.

The focus of the evening is an arts auction of works in oil, watercolours, fine art prints, ceramics, silver-smithing and sculpture by artists who include those with international reputations. Also on sale are anonymous postcard-sized original works of art.

Environmental Arts - Garden Opening June 22nd

A selection of pupils at Secondary Student Support in Stirling are taking part in Artlink Central's second environmental garden and arts project with the aim of regenerating their own outdoor space. The pupils, all of whom have been excluded from school or have social and emotional needs, will take part in a pro-active atmosphere led by professional artists Susan Wade-French and Edward Anderson. Susan and Edward will help engage the pupils in creating garden sculptures, designing landscapes and painting murals. The opening of the new garden will be on June 22nd.

If you would like more information about this or any of our other schools' projects, please contact Kristina Telfer or Sylvia Woodford.

    Sponsored Ascent up Ben Ledi

Artlink Central is seeking sponsors and support for Sylvia, Kristina and Rachel, who are walking up Ben Ledi to help raise funds for our work. Organised by the Callander and West Perthshire Rotary Club, the walk takes place on 10th June. 80% of the funds raised by our walkers will go to Artlink Central, plus a one third share of the remaining 20% of the total raised by everybody. The remaining two thirds will be donated to CHAS, Hearing Dogs and some local organisations chosen by the Rotary Club. So, for example, if our walkers personally raise £500.00, Artlink Central will receive £400.00; and if all walkers raised £5000.00, Artlink Central and the other charities will also receive a one third share of £1000 each. We are therefore very keen to promote the walk for the Rotary Club and all the charities involved.

For more information, please contact our office.
