About the Role

Artlink Central is looking for a Programme Assistant to support the delivery of the Wellbeing Through Arts Strategy for NHS Forth Valley — a nationally recognised programme embedding the arts across hospital and healthcare settings in the region.

This is a varied, practical role working across visual arts, music, and audience engagement. You will support the day-to-day running of the programme — from coordinating musicians and managing exhibition logistics to maintaining art collections and contributing to events and evaluation. You will work as part of a small creative team, under the direction of the Creative Programme Manager.

The ability to listen well, follow direction, work reliably, and use initiative to get things done matters more than experience in every area. This is a genuine opportunity to develop skills and experience in arts and health programming.

What You Will Do

•     Coordinate music sessions across NHS Forth Valley sites — scheduling, logistics, and on-the-day support

•     Support exhibition planning and installation, including packing, transport, and wall text production

•     Maintain art storage, carry out condition checks, and keep the inventory up to date

•     Build relationships with NHS staff, patients, and community contacts to promote engagement

•     Contribute to programme evaluation, monitoring, and funder reporting

•     Support events, performances, and public-facing activities as required

Who We Are Looking For

We are not looking for a perfect CV. We are looking for the right person. You might be early in your career, returning to work, or moving into arts and health from another field.

•     Some experience of or genuine interest in arts, culture, or a related field — formal or informal

•     Openness to working in NHS settings and an interest in the role of the arts in health and wellbeing

•     Good organisational skills and a conscientious, reliable approach to tasks

•     Clear communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to listen carefully and act on direction

•     Physical confidence with practical tasks including handling and installing artwork

•     Competent use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

•     Current driving licence and access to a vehicle
